  • Morgan Redman

    Morgan Redman, a dedicated mother to Jade and the late Onyx Redman, established the Onyx the Rugged Foundation in honor of her youngest son’s brave battle with ATRT brain cancer. The foundation is committed to supporting families facing the challenges of childhood cancer. Onyx, who was 17 months younger than his brother Jade, passed away at a young age, leaving a profound impact on Morgan and her husband, Kris.

    Morgan holds an associate's degree in Community Leadership from the University of New Hampshire and is completing her bachelor's degree in Psychology at Arizona State University. Morgan plans to pursue graduate school with the goal of becoming a therapist for bereaved parents.

  • Kelly Howe

    Kelly Howe is a dedicated and hardworking individual with a rich background in both business and community service. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Endicott College and is a proud mother of four. Kelly has successfully owned and operated two businesses: Maine Alpaca Company and Down East Candles, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence.

    As Onyx’s grandmother, Kelly is deeply committed to the mission of the Onyx the Rugged Foundation. Her passion for supporting families affected by childhood cancer drives her daily efforts. Kelly’s dedication to the foundation is a testament to her unwavering resolve to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need.


  • Kris Redman

    Kris Redman is the late Onyx Redman, who tragically passed away from ATRT brain cancer at just two years old, and his older son, Jade Redman. Kris’s journey has been marked by resilience and dedication, both in his professional and personal life.

    Originally from the coast of Maine, Kris worked as a lobsterman and maintained boats, showcasing his deep connection to the sea. He also served as the Assistant Harbor Master in Wells, Maine, where he played a crucial role in the local maritime community. Seeking a change in weather and new experiences, Kris moved with his family to Arizona.
